Job summary

The Guild for Human Services in Melrose, MA, is seeking a residential services supervisor to lead staff in a residence for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, coordinate ISP objectives, and supervise medication administration in compliance with MAP.

Ideal candidates hold a 4-year degree in a relevant field and have residential management experience, a valid driver’s license, and MAP certification or plan to obtain MAP within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, psychology, human services or related field required.
• At least one year of residential management experience and two years direct support experience with developmental disabilities population required.
• Reliable transportation to multiple residential locations in Massachusetts
• A valid driver's license
• Must undergo background check requirements.
• MAP certification or ability to pass MAP within first 90 days.
• Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals with limited cognition and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Directly schedule, monitor, supervise and evaluate all staff within the assigned residence.
• Participate in hiring, interviewing and disciplinary action processes.
• Ensure that residential data collection systems, logs and records are up to date.
• Oversee upkeep of the home by supervising day-to-day cleanliness and identifying repairs.
• Oversee expenditures for household supplies and personal needs and coordinate ISP objectives and related reports.
