Primary Job Responsibilities
- Directlyschedule,monitor,supervise,andevaluateallstaffwithintheassigned residence.
- Participateinthehiring,interviewinganddisciplinaryaction processes.
- Ensurethatallresidentialdatacollectionsystems,logsandrecordsareupto date.
- Ensuretheupkeepofthehomebyoverseeingdaytodaycleanlinessandidentifying repairs.
- Overseethehomesfood,supplyandcommunityactivityexpenditures,clothingand personal needs expenditures and/or individuals’ personal household accounts.
- Overseeusage,orderingandpurchasingofindividualhouseholdandhealthrelated supplies.
- Completeallrequired reportsandassessmentsusingHCSIS(DDS)
- Ensureallincidentreports,restraintreportsandotherdocumentationiscompletedrelatedto all residential events and follow up on per Guild policy and the appropriate regulations.
- Administerandrecordindividuals’medicationsincompliancewith MAP.
- Ensureallstaffinthehomeadministerandrecordindividuals’medicationsincompliancewith MAP.
- EnsurethedevelopmentoftheresidentialportionofISPandsubsequentreportsdesigned to best meet the needs of each individual and ensure that they are turned in on schedule.
- EnsuretheimplementationofallISPobjectivesandrelatedresidentialservicesfor individuals who reside in the home.
- Monitorindividual’sprogresstoensurethatgoalsareappropriateonatleastaquarterly basis.
- EnsurethatdatasheetsforISP objectivesarecompletedaccordingtoscheduleandare updated as needed.
- CoordinateandtakeindividualstoDoctors’appointmentsincollaborationwith nursing.
- Monitoralltheindividuals’medicationsandcoordinatewiththepharmacy(ornursinginschool aged programs) if orders are needed.
- Facilitatecommunicationbetweenthehomeanddayprogram(s)Facilitatecommunication within the home among staff persons working different shifts.
- Communicate with parents/guardians,family members, stakeholderagencyrepresentatives (DDS)onatleastaweeklybasisregardingindividuals,theirprogressandtheirneeds includingsharingstaffinginformationaboutthehomeandascheduleofbothhouseand individualactivities.
- Beflexible;availabletoassistother residences.
- Performotherrelateddutiesas assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’sdegreeinspecialeducation,psychology,humanservicesorrelatedfield required;
- Atleastoneyearofresidentialmanagementexperience andtwoyearsdirectsupport experience with developmental disabilities population required.
- Reliabletransportationtomultipleresidentiallocationsin Massachusetts
- Avaliddriver's license
- Must undergo background record check requirements.
- MAPcertificationorabilitytopassMAPwithinfirst90 days.
- Physicalandmentalcapacitytoworkinstressfulsituationsandde-escalateindividualswho have limited cognition and complex needs.
