Job summary

The Guild for Human Services in Waltham, MA is seeking a part-time Residential Staff to support a comprehensive residential program for individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will collaborate with a team to maintain a safe living environment and implement ISP/IEP-based daily activities.

Responsibilities include supervision, medication administration, 1:1 care, de-escalation, and participation in planning meetings. MAP certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Must meet Massachusetts CORI background requirements.
• MAP certification or the ability to obtain MAP certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence.
• Assist in development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
• Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences.
• Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
• Provide supervision of all individuals while under care.
• Administer and record individuals’ medications in compliance with MAP.
• Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
• Participate in meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning.
• Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
