Job summary

QSAC is hiring an Assistant Manager for an OPWDD-funded Residential Program. This role oversees daily operations and ensures a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment to foster growth and independence for individuals served.

The position involves supervising staff, coordinating with nurses and coordinators, and maintaining medication records to ensure quality care in the residential setting and community activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ experience driving large passenger vehicles.
• 1–2 years’ experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory work experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for site visits.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lb.

Responsibilities

• Review residential binders including general, medical and personal allowances.
• Conduct periodic fire drills for safety procedures.
• Complete and submit injury reports for individuals.
• Maintain individuals’ personal allowance accounts.
• Coordinate and shop for household items and groceries for meals.
• Maintain relationships with community and neighbors.
• Provide hands-on assistance with residence and individual care as part of staff ratio.
• Create and orchestrate recreational calendars based on individual preferences.
• Maintain medication administration records and coordinate with medical staff.
