Job summary

QSAC is seeking a Manager for its OPWDD-funded Residential Program in the New York area. This role oversees daily operations, supervises staff, and maintains a safe, therapeutic environment that supports residents in developing independence.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules, documentation, and medication processes in compliance with OPWDD guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years 0f experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• 1 year of OPWDD experience is highly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory work experience required.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record required for site visits.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals and 20 lb items.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules for Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Assistant Managers and Shift Supervisor staff at residence.
• Review residential binders and medical/personal records.
• Conduct periodic fire drills or other emergency drills.
• Complete and submit injury reports for individuals.
• Work with QA team to ensure documentation and services meet OPWDD guidelines.
• Oversee personal allowance for residents.
• Coordinate and shop for household items and groceries.
• Maintain medication supplies and medication administration records.
