Job summary

QSAC is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Wantagh residential program funded by OPWDD. This role oversees general operations and creates a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment to promote independence and personal goals for residents. Supervises staff providing care in both residential and community settings.

The salary range for this position is $41,000-$45,000 annually. This is a full-time role based in Wantagh, NY, with responsibilities across residential operations and staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years driving large passenger vehicle required.
• 1–2 years’ experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential operations and supervise staff.
• Review and maintain financial and medical binders.
• Conduct safety drills and ensure medication records are accurate.
• Coordinate household shopping and meal distribution.
• Engage with community and neighbors to support residents.
• Schedule DSP staff and ensure program goals are met.
