Job summary

QSAC is hiring an Assistant Manager for an OPWDD-funded Residential Program in New York. You will supervise staff, manage daily operations, ensure safety, and support individuals toward independence in residential and community settings.

Responsibilities include overseeing DSP staff, maintaining records, coordinating medical care, and engaging with the community to foster growth and personal goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years driving large passenger vehicles.
• 1–2 years supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to assist lifting up to 20 lb and related safety measures.
• Background/fingerprint clearance required.
• Excellent communication with individuals served and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Residential Operations and supervise staff to ensure safety and quality of care.
• Review binders, conduct fire drills, and manage personal/medical allowances.
• Maintain medication administration records and coordinate medical appointments.
• Supervise DSP staff and schedule to support residences.
• Engage with community and families to promote independence and goals.
