Johnson Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead our residential service team. You will guide technicians, set performance expectations, and drive customer-obsessed service while improving profitability.

This role requires leadership, strong plumbing knowledge, and the ability to coach staff, manage metrics, and coordinate with dispatch. We offer a competitive salary, a company vehicle, and opportunities for growth in a growing home-service company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential plumbing experience, preferably with service and repair.
• Leadership or management experience in a plumbing or home-service environment.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems, diagnostics, repairs, and replacements.
• Ability to coach and develop technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of residential plumbing service technicians.
• Establish clear expectations for technician performance and customer service.
• Monitor department performance and KPIs to ensure goals are met.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance evaluations.
• Ride along with technicians to evaluate performance and develop skills.
• Assist technicians with difficult technical, customer, or sales situations.
• Ensure proper diagnosis and presentation of repair/replacement options to customers.
• Promote a customer-first culture focused on solving problems.
• Monitor revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, and profitability.
• Coordinate with dispatch and office personnel to maximize productivity and customer experience.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring plumbing technicians.
