Jake’s Heating, Air & Plumbing is seeking a Residential Service Plumbing Manager to lead the field-driven team, develop technicians, and drive department profitability. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, field coaching, and accountability to deliver outstanding customer service and growth.

You will own the department’s performance, set revenue targets, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with dispatch and leadership to optimize scheduling and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong residential service plumbing experience with solid technical knowledge.
• Previous leadership or management experience in the plumbing industry.
• Track record of developing technicians and improving team performance.
• Strong understanding of revenue, KPIs, productivity, and service department operations.
• Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and hold people accountable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop residential service plumbers who take pride in their work and deliver results.
• Conduct ride-alongs, provide hands-on coaching, and help technicians sharpen technical, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Own department performance, revenue goals, productivity, KPIs, and overall profitability; know your numbers and how to improve them.
• Create a culture of accountability where expectations are clear and performance matters.
• Solve problems fast; be the go-to person for challenging service calls, customer concerns, or operational issues.
• Identify strengths, coach weaknesses, and help good technicians become great ones.
• Work closely with dispatch, recruiting, and leadership to improve scheduling, communication, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Think bigger: grow the department, improve processes, and build a stronger operation.
