The position offers an $80,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus opportunities, with room for advancement as the company expands. A strong candidate will lead from the front and shape departmental processes.

Jake’s Heating, Air & Plumbing is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, motivated Residential Service Plumbing Manager to lead our service department and help take our team to the next level!

We’re looking for a leader who brings more than just plumbing experience. We want someone who knows how to develop technicians, drive performance, build accountability, and lead by example.

This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact, help shape the future of our plumbing department, and grow alongside the company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead & Develop: Manage, mentor, and motivate our residential service plumbing team to achieve individual and department goals.
• Coach in the Field: Conduct regular ride‑alongs, provide hands‑on training, and help technicians improve their technical skills, communication, and overall performance.
• Drive Performance: Monitor department KPIs, revenue goals, productivity, and technician performance while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Provide Technical Support: Be a resource for technicians when challenging service calls, troubleshooting, or customer concerns arise.
• Build Accountability: Set clear expectations, provide consistent feedback, and create a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver a Great Customer Experience: Ensure our team provides professional, high‑quality service while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Develop Talent: Partner with recruiting and leadership on hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and employee development.
• Improve Operations: Work closely with dispatch and company leadership to improve scheduling, communication, efficiency, and overall department performance.
• Support Growth: Help implement processes, identify opportunities, and develop strategies that allow the plumbing service department to continue growing successfully.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in residential service plumbing, including diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, and service operations.
• Previous experience in a plumbing leadership, supervisory, or management role.
• Proven ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold technicians accountable.
• Solid understanding of service department KPIs, revenue goals, productivity, and operational performance.
• Strong technical knowledge with the confidence to assist technicians in the field when needed.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to balance employee development, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
