Job summary

Citi Bank Retail Mortgage is hiring a Home Lending Officer in Dublin, CA to originate high-quality residential real estate loans. You will interact with branch partners, operations and real estate agents to drive mortgage sales and client relationships.

The role requires 5–8 years in residential mortgage and strong sales capability, with knowledge of FHA/VA and conventional loans. You will promote Citi’s lending solutions and coordinate with processors, underwriters and referral partners.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience
• Residential Mortgage experience required
• 1+ year previous sales, credit and/or finance experience required
• Proven product sales capability is required
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred
• The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA
• Demonstrated customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about their financial situation, objectives and lending needs.
• Collect and analyze information about the customer's finances and goals.
• Analyze financial information to determine loan eligibility.
• Make recommendations on lending solutions to meet objectives.
• Advise customers on risks and benefits of alternatives.
• Promote Citi’s lending services to real estate agents and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi’s offices as needed.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support customers and grow mortgage business.
• Refer clients to Citi professionals for other financial services.
• Work with Operations to ensure smooth loan processing and timely closings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and referral partners.
• Attend industry events as a Citi representative.
