Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Dublin, CA is seeking a Mortgage Lending Officer to originate high-quality residential real estate loans. This role collaborates with retail branches, operations, and referral partners to deliver superior service and ensure compliant, timely closings.

You will analyze borrowers' financials, assess qualifications, and present lending solutions while promoting Citi's brand to real estate agents and other partners. Travel to client sites is expected based on geography.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in residential mortgage.
• Experience with FHA/VA and conventional loans preferred.
• Ability to explain financial calculations and pricing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Proven product sales capability and relationship development.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers about financial situation, objectives and lending needs to help achieve home ownership.
• Collect and analyze information about finances, goals, risk tolerance, income, assets, debts and credit history.
• Assess qualification for lending solutions and make recommendations.
• Promote Citi's brand and lending services to real estate agents and referral sources.
• Visit customers outside Citi offices and work with internal partners to support and grow customers.
• Coordinate with Operations, Processors and Underwriters to ensure timely loan closings.
