Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings meet safety, cleanliness and operational standards. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and complete the make-ready process for vacant units while coordinating vendors and maintaining inventories.

Requirements include EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), state/local certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on the property size.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance per policies and codes.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, perform pre-move-out inspection, and coordinate vendors and supplies.
• Access materials from maintenance department, track inventory, and notify re-ordering needs.
• Complete documentation for service requests to document and track work.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; clean and repaint as needed.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts and using tools efficiently.
• Follow safety policies and attend required OSHA training; report incidents promptly.
• Inspect contractor work to verify quality and compliance with scope and specifications.
• Assist in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.

Education
