Job summary

B.HOM Student Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to maintenance requests and keep the community in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, unit turns, repairs, and emergency maintenance while delivering timely, high-quality service to residents.

You will inspect and maintain buildings and common areas, coordinate with vendors, manage supplies within budget, and ensure safety and compliance. This role requires on-call availability and a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
• Availability for night, weekend, and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete repairs involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and general maintenance.
• Schedule, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Complete apartment turns and prepare units for new residents.
• Ensure all work orders are completed promptly, professionally, and accurately.
• Perform emergency maintenance as required.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating vendors and contractors.
• Assist with purchasing maintenance supplies while adhering to budget guidelines.
• Accurately prepare and submit invoices and maintenance documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
