B.HOM Student Living in Urbana, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and prepare units for new residents. The role ensures that the property meets company standards and delivers high-quality service to residents.

The position requires basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, strong troubleshooting, and reliable on-call availability, with day shifts and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Night, weekend, and on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry issues.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete apartment turns and prep units for new residents.
• Ensure timely, professional, and accurate work orders.
• Provide emergency maintenance as required.
