Job summary

The RMR Group LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in preserving the property’s safety and comfort for residents and staff. You will perform routine maintenance, coordinate repairs, and assist with make-ready tasks while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Candidates should have 2+ years in property maintenance, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2+ years' experience in maintenance property management.
• EPA Universal Certification Required.
• CPO Certification Preferred.
• Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. information as required by daily operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
• Maintain professional appearance and manner at all times.
• May be required to work extended periods of time without relief, when responding to priority/emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the property in a safe and compliant manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
• Inspect utilities, fixtures, and safety systems; address unsafe conditions.
• Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, roofing, lighting, etc.).
• Coordinate make-ready repairs; assist make-ready staff to meet deadlines.
• Report major repairs to Maintenance Supervisor before expenditures.
• Move and relocate heavy appliances; assist in handling furniture and equipment as needed.
• Rotate on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays.
