Job summary

The RMR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in preserving the property’s physical integrity and ensuring a safe living environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose routine issues, and support make-ready projects while complying with regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, maintaining tools, and assisting in on-call coverage after-hours and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical and plumbing for daily ops.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Rotating on-call including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property safety and integrity under Supervisory guidance.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
• Know utility cut-offs, meter shut-offs, and sewer clean-outs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, A/C/heating, appliances and fixtures.
• Coordinate make-ready repairs and assist make-ready staff.
• Report major repairs to Maintenance Supervisor before expenditures.
• Assist in moving heavy appliances and equipment as needed.
• Follow company policies and state/federal regulations.
