The RMR Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in preserving the physical integrity of the property and ensuring a safe, secure living environment for residents and staff in Leander, TX.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose routine repairs, manage locks and keys, and assist with make-ready work. The role requires EPA Universal Certification and a valid driver’s license, with on-call responsibilities including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance property management
• EPA Universal Certification Required
• CPO Certification Preferred
• Ability to earn future designations as required by Industry standards, EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, etc.
• Must possess solid knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc. information as required by daily operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
• Maintain professional appearance and manner at all times.
• May be required to work extended periods of time without relief, when responding to priority/emergency situations.
• Stooping, standing, climbing (ladders and stairs) as needed.
• Ability to lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 30 feet.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• This position requires rotating on-call, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety and compliance with policies and regulations (Lead Based Paint, ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager.
• Inspect and maintain tools in excellent condition.
• Know utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, and sewer clean-outs.
• Perform daily maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, etc.
• Report major repairs and need requisitions to Maintenance Supervisor prior to expenditures.
• Change locks, rekey locks and make keys.
• Move heavy appliances and equipment as required and assist in make-ready tasks.
• Assist with make-ready repairs to meet deadlines.
• Support other requests from Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, or Regional Manager.
