Job summary

Westland Real Estate Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Amber Hill Apartments in San Antonio. You will perform a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks to keep the property in excellent condition and respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule.

The role requires 1–2+ years of maintenance experience, basic trades knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Higher levels offer advanced experience and certifications with increased pay.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on maintenance in a residential or similar setting.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• A valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to participate in rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies.
• Ability to lift over 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• For higher levels (II–IV): 3–6+ years experience and/or specialized certifications (HVAC, Electrical, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Repairs & Maintenance: perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Unit Turnover: prepare vacant apartments for new residents with repairs and fixtures.
• Preventative Maintenance: inspect building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Customer Service: provide professional, timely service requests handling.
