Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure quality living environments and efficient property operations. You will handle routine and urgent repairs, perform turnovers, and maintain safety and cleanliness across the community.

You will interact with residents and staff, provide excellent customer service, and participate in trainings. A high school diploma and EPA certification are required, with on-call flexibility and local transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, repairs, and painting.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification Type II or Universal (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Read English to understand policies, safety notices and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with older adults.
• Proficiency with basic computer keyboarding.
• Provide basic tool set and reliable transportation.
• On-call readiness within 30 minutes of receiving a call.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs across the community.
• Communicates with residents, staff, and management to address concerns promptly.
• Participates in apartment turnovers, performing repairs, renovations, painting, and cleaning.
• Keeps areas safe, tidy, and free of trash and debris.
• Monitors community grounds and coordinates with management for improvements.
• Maintains landscaping and performs snow removal as needed.
• Mentors Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
• Follows policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and participates in in-service trainings.
• Supports other communities as assigned.
