Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve the physical condition of our properties, ensuring safe, attractive living environments for residents. The role emphasizes responsiveness to service requests and teamwork with staff.

You will perform routine and preventive repairs, assist with apartment turnovers, manage logs, and support landscaping and safety programs. On-call readiness within 30 minutes is required, and on-site sign-in bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English with diverse groups.
• Read English for policies, safety notices, and business docs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation for older adults.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer keyboarding skills.
• Provide basic tool set and maintain transportation.
• On-call readiness within 30 minutes of a call.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs; maintains logs and records.
• Communicates effectively with residents, associates, management and guests to address concerns.
• Participates in apartment turnovers; performs repairs, renovations, painting, and cleaning of vacant units.
• Keeps areas safe and tidy, including dumpster areas and trash prep.
• Monitors grounds and reports maintenance needs to management.
• Maintains landscaping and assists with snow removal as needed.
• Provides guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices and Porters.
• Responds to emergencies and attends required trainings.
• Supports other communities as assigned.
