Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to perform maintenance and make-ready work across a managed property. You will diagnose issues, repair building systems, and complete safety-compliant tasks to ensure clean, safe living spaces for residents.

The role involves coordinating with vendors, inspecting work, and following procedures for inventory and documentation. A valid driver’s license and EPA certifications are required, with onsite benefits and potential bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certification as required for service technicians.
• State and Local certifications as required by jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including pre-move-out inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Access materials and track inventory; notify supervisor for re-orders as needed.
• Document service requests accurately to enable proper tracking.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
