Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and support make-ready tasks for leasing-ready units. You will handle work orders, inspect and document tasks, and assist in keeping grounds and amenities in good condition.

The role requires EPA and local certifications, a valid driver’s license for cart use, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Onsite employment with comprehensive benefits is included.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on property size.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and does preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Obtains materials and coordinates with vendors, tracks inventory, and notifies supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork timely so service requests are tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-cutting and proper use of tools and materials to avoid unnecessary replacements.
• Periodically inspects work by contractors to verify quality and compliance.
• Assists in routine inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
• May be required to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
