Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building interiors and common areas meet standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role includes responding to service orders, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, and maintaining grounds and amenities with a focus on cost efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Essential Responsibilities include completing work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects, and making repairs.
• Prepare vacant units via make-ready process, inspect, schedule vendors, and ensure tasks are completed.
• Manage materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and reordering as needed.
• Document and file paperwork promptly for accurate service-tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenities upkeep and safe, cost-conscious maintenance practices.
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to OSHA requirements and safety laws.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant units for leasing, inspect and address punch lists.
• Track inventory and coordinate with maintenance for materials and tools.
• Document service requests timely and accurately.
• Support grounds, pool areas, and amenity cleaning and painting tasks.
• Contribute to cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing where feasible.
