Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our Durham community. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems while ensuring timely responses to resident service requests.

Qualifications

2-3 years of experience in maintenance work including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to accommodate an on-call schedule in rotation with the team each month.
Ability to communicate with residents and team members to provide customer service.
Ability to read and understand policies and procedures including maintenance-related policies and SDS.
Knowledge of PPE and safe handling of chemicals.
Basic understanding of emergency systems and painting tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and repairs problems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, painting/wallpaper, and related areas.
Completes assigned service requests and repairs promptly.
Ensures vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
Performs preventative maintenance.
Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces.
Maintains safety culture by following all safety policies and reporting unsafe conditions.
Performs hot works such as brazing, soldering, and welding per standards.
