Job summary

Greystar in Charleston, SC seeks a Service Technician to maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities, ensuring cleanliness, safety and overall functionality.

You will perform work orders and make-readies, manage inventory, document tasks, and support cost-saving practices. EPA certifications and a valid driver’s license are required; on-site work includes occasional inspections and safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform maintenance and repairs per safety standards.
• Ability to complete make-ready tasks for vacant units and inspections.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and codes.
• Finish make-ready process for vacant apartments, including punch lists and scheduling vendors.
• Access materials from maintenance, track usage, and notify re-orders.
• Document work and close service requests accurately.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; clean and paint as needed.
• Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts and using tools properly.
• Comply with safety policies and attend required trainings.
• Periodically inspect contractor work; report quality concerns to management.
• Assist in routine property inspections and communicate needs to management.
