Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and grounds staff at an Idaho residential community. You will oversee daily operations, safety, and customer service while ensuring quality work orders and regulatory compliance.

The role requires supervision experience, knowledge of facilities management, and the ability to coordinate with environmental and safety teams to deliver timely, compliant maintenance across all systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College courses or technical training with trade certifications preferred.
• Min 3 years in property management or maintenance operations.
• Min 1 year supervisory/leadership experience.
• Knowledge of property and facilities management.
• Sound judgment in directing work and safety compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Yardi experience preferred.
• Available for night/weekend emergency call duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide management oversight across daily operations, finances, and procurement for maintenance team.
• Direct grounds and landscaping to meet curb appeal standards.
• Oversee diverse maintenance tasks across plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and more.
• Train and supervise staff on safety practices and PPE.
• Assign work orders to meet response times and quality standards.
• Track key metrics and report on performance and improvements.
• Coordinate with environmental, safety, and vendors for compliant work.
• Ensure documentation, SDS accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and safety practices.
