Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct a team of technicians and grounds staff at a residential community. You will ensure quality, safety, and compliance while coordinating with safety and environmental teams and managing work orders in Yardi.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, experience in property maintenance operations, and the ability to oversee multiple trades. Night/weekend emergencies may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College courses or technical training strongly preferred with relevant trade certifications and licenses.
• Minimum of three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Yardi preferred.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive management oversight across daily operations, financial reporting, procurement, customer service and performance management for a maintenance team.
• Direct and support grounds and landscaping teams to meet curb appeal standards.
• Oversee maintenance work across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other trades.
• Train and supervise staff on safety practices, PPE, and OSHA requirements.
• Organize and assign work orders to ensure timely response and quality.
• Track key metrics and report on performance and compliance.
