Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in our single-family homes. This role supports cost controls, safety, and timely service while representing Progress positively to residents.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years in general maintenance, HVAC certification preferred, and EPA certification. Must have own basic tools and a valid driver’s license; occasional on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in general service and maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• Technical college or trade program with HVAC certification preferred.
• EPA certification required.
• Experience maintaining and repairing residential HVAC systems and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Assess and resolve service requests while delivering strong customer service.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and related systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced issues and replace defective components.
• Maintain safety and comply with regulations and company policies.
• Maintain reliable transportation and own basic tools for field work.
