Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs across our residential communities in Bangor, ME. This role involves outdoor work, grounds upkeep, and coordinating with management to ensure curb appeal.

Responsibilities include cleaning facilities, operating tools and equipment, and assisting with move-ins/outs. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in maintenance experience in apartment/manufactured housing preferred.
• 6 months snow removal experience preferred.
• Ability to endure outdoor work and temperature fluctuations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains common areas by removing trash and debris daily.
• Completes minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Inspects irrigation systems and makes repairs as needed.
• Maintains vacant sites and cleans grounds.
• Operates snow removal tools and plows when applicable.
• Cares for lawns, hedges, and pest control measures as needed.
• Tests water systems and reads water meters where applicable.
• Reports maintenance issues to the manager.
