Job summary

Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our communities. You will repair homes, facilities, and grounds, ensuring cleanliness and curb appeal while delivering good resident service.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, operating hand tools and equipment, and the ability to work on-call in an outdoor environment with temperature variations. Valid driver’s license and independent work capability are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• 6 months in maintenance in apartment or manufactured housing (Preferred).
• 6 months snow removal experience (Preferred).
• 6 months general maintenance knowledge (Preferred).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Comfort with outdoor work and temperature fluctuations.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Basic computer use and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventative maintenance across Sun communities.
• Repair and maintain homes, facilities, grounds, and equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of property and common areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests and report issues to management.
• Operate and inspect water, electrical, plumbing, and grounds systems.
• Move between sites using community vehicles as needed.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors and safety procedures.
