Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Electrician/ Generator Technician to manage electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential systems and generator services. You will troubleshoot issues, install and service generators, and ensure compliance with safety codes while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role requires Generac certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Generac certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in a similar role.
• Experience with generator systems.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Overtime availability including weekends and evenings.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential systems and generators.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and generator malfunctions.
• Interact with customers to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and codes.
• Inspect, test, and commission electrical systems and generator installations.
• Support related trades as needed (plumbing, HVAC, carpentry).
