Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Electrician/Generator Technician to manage electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential systems, with a focus on generator services. You will troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, service generator systems, and ensure safety standards and codes are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with generator systems.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and working with electricity, electrical systems, motor control systems, and process control instrumentation.
• Conducting maintenance, service, and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical systems.
• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
• Performing light maintenance tasks on electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC/R units.
• Supporting the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspecting electrical systems and components to identify hazards or defects and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions, particularly in lighting circuits.
• Additional duties as assigned.
