Southern Home Services is seeking a skilled Service Electrician/Generator Technician to manage electrical installations, maintenance and generator service for residential systems. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, safe operation, and customer interaction to diagnose issues and provide high-quality service.

Ideal candidates have experience with generator systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform maintenance across electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with generator systems.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Physical capability for overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Well-organized with strong prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical installations, maintenance and repairs for residential systems.
• Install, test and service generator systems and ensure safety compliance.
• Diagnose electrical issues and interact with customers to propose solutions.
• Perform light maintenance on electrical, plumbing and HVAC/R units.
• Support repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and related systems.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and ensure standards compliance.
• Diagnose and repair lighting circuits and other malfunctions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
