Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Electrician/Generator Technician to manage electrical installations, maintenance, and generator services for residential systems. You will troubleshoot issues, install and service generators, and ensure safety standards are met while delivering high-quality customer service.

Ideal candidates have experience with generator systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a similar role.
• Experience with generator systems.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong maintenance knowledge and techniques.
• Overtime, weekends, and evenings availability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Well-organized with good prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Understand and work with electricity, motor control, and instrumentation.
• Perform maintenance, service, and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical systems.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment.
• Perform light maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R systems.
• Support repair of manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical).
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and ensure safety compliance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, especially in lighting circuits.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
