Job summary

Franklin Energy is hiring a field technician to install, service, and inspect Direct Load Control devices for residential markets. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, basic construction knowledge, and the ability to travel to customers for on-site work.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent plus 1–3 years in related tech areas; strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Valid driver’s license and safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferably in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting or related technologies.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Basic construction knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of building science/energy auditing.
• Experience in installing technologies, manual labor and using tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, modify, remove and/or service Direct Load Control (DLC) devices.
• Demonstrate HVAC technical aptitude and understanding.
• Use electrical/electronic skills and mechanical principles.
• Understand air conditioning system components.
• Maintain professional appearance and client-facing professionalism.
• Meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Complete special projects and collaborate to improve operations.
