Job summary

United Counseling Service (UCS) in Bennington, VT, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Residential program. You will implement Individual Support Agreements (ISAs), support residents in daily activities, and promote independence.

Under the Group Home Manager, you will perform medication administration as assigned, participate in meetings, handle data entry and housekeeping, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Typing skills, Windows skills, typing and navigating, and e-mail usage.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Implement ISAs and foster independence and maximum growth.
• Participate in all daily routines including self-care, money management, dining, problem solving, interpersonal, leisure time, independent living, and community outings; perform medication administration as assigned.
• Serve as an advocate for individuals and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures; communicate with nursing staff as appropriate.
• Attend meetings; implement ISAs as written; assist in ISA development; complete required training.
• Accurately enter data, progress notes, monthly summaries, and other information related to group home operations.
• Perform housekeeping activities, shopping, cooking, ordering supplies, maintenance, and vehicle upkeep; report issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
