Job summary

UNITED COUNSELING SERVICE OF BENNINGTON COUNTY INC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Residential in Bennington, VT. The role supports individuals in a group home, implements ISAs, and participates in daily activities to promote independence and safety.

The position is part-time, 32 hours per week, with evenings and every other weekend required, offering benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Direct Service experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook for internal email communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct Service: implement ISAs, support daily routines, manage medications, advocate for individuals, ensure safety and dignity.
• Program Implementation & Development: collaborate with the Group Home team, attend meetings, develop ISAs, complete trainings.
• Recordkeeping: accurately enter data, progress notes, monthly summaries, ensure timely documentation.
• Housekeeping & Home Management: perform housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking, supplies, vehicle upkeep, report issues.
