Monarch is hiring a Developmental Specialist for residential support in Albemarle, NC. This part-time role focuses on helping individuals achieve personal dreams through person-centered planning and community integration.

You will assess needs, support relationships, promote participation in meaningful activities, protect rights, and document progress while assisting with daily living tasks and transportation as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses or intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess people’s hopes, dreams, and desires to guide supports.
• Help develop relationships in the community and with natural supports.
• Encourage participation in community activities aligned with interests.
• Protect rights and promote self-determination for each person.
• Document progress, incidents, timesheets, and goals.
• Provide transportation as needed and assist with daily living activities.
