Monarch in Asheboro, NC is seeking a part-time Developmental Specialist to support individuals with regulatory and community integration needs. You will assess goals, help build relationships, and promote self-determination while ensuring safety and rights protection.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, transportation, and documentation, with occasional sleepover at a residential setting. Prior MH/IDD experience is preferred; a valid US driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid USA Driver's License required.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disability, or substance use disorder preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assess individuals for hopes and goals and provide supports to achieve them.
• Help individuals build relationships in the community and with natural supports.
• Assist participation in the community aligned with each person’s interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals and assist with advocacy skills.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered relationships and promote self-determination.
• Contribute to assessment and planning; help implement the individual plan and document progress.
• Complete daily progress notes and logs to track goals and activities.
• Assist with home tasks (housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, lawn care, vehicle care).
• Provide transportation as needed; arrange travel for individuals.
• Ensure safety through emergency knowledge and safety drills.
• Support staff orientation, mentoring, and training.
• Sleepover at residential setting may be required.
• Attend meetings and training; maintain required certifications.
• Follow policies, procedures and state/federal regulations related to programs.
