Monarch Healthcare in North Carolina is seeking a Developmental Specialist to help people achieve personal dreams and goals. The role supports individuals with mental health needs or developmental disabilities in community integration and daily activities.

The position requires a High School Diploma and a valid US driver’s license. Experience with relevant populations is preferred but not mandatory, and some evening shifts are included in a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Experience with individuals with mental health diagnoses or with developmental disabilities or substance use disorders is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assess each person’s hopes and goals and provide supports to help achieve them.
• Help individuals develop relationships in the community and with natural supports.
• Assist participation in community activities aligned with personal interests.
• Protect and promote each person’s rights and support advocacy and self-determination.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered, positive relationships using supportive approaches.
• Contribute input to assessments and planning, and document progress accurately.
• Complete daily progress notes and maintain communications for appointments and goals.
• Assist with daily home operations (housekeeping, meals, laundry, shopping, etc.).
• Provide transportation as required and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Support staff with orientation and training and participate in meetings as required.
• Sleepovers at residential settings may be required.
