Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in MA to work a 30-hour blended night shift (Thu–Sat 11 PM–9 AM). The role involves supporting residents in daily living, implementing treatment plans, and supervising medications under clinician guidance.

Requires a high school diploma/GED and a valid driver's license; mental health experience is preferred. BAMSI offers extensive time off, training opportunities, and a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE), fostering skills for daily living and community integration.
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Pay Range: $20 - 23.75

Schedule: 30 Hours Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11 PM-9 AM (blended shift, 6am-9am are awake hrs.)

What You Bring:

High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.). Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency. Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care. Bonus: Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
