Job summary

Brockton Area Multi-Servi, doing business as BAMSI, seeks a Residential Counselor MAP to support adults in group living environments in Taunton, MA. You will teach daily living skills, implement plans under clinician guidance, and assist with medications while ensuring safety and documentation.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care, strong communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. A high school diploma or GED is required, with mental health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer or supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
