Job summary

BAMSI, a Plymouth-based nonprofit, seeks a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Plymouth, MA. The role supports adults in Group Living Environments, teaching daily living skills and fostering community integration.

The schedule is Wed-Fri 3p-11p with hourly pay in a supportive, mission-driven setting. You will implement treatment plans under clinician supervision, administer medications per MAP guidelines, and help residents access services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and socialization skills.
• Implement Treatment Plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
