Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator in Indianapolis to provide essential administrative and operational support to our Sales, Construction, Warranty, and Project Manager teams, ensuring each home progresses smoothly from contract through closing.

The role involves processing contracts, coordinating permit applications, communicating with municipalities, tracking activity, and maintaining files.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent time-management, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Residential homebuilding or permitting experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with JD Edwards is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process sales contracts and coordinate closing documentation.
• Prepare and submit building permit applications.
• Communicate with local municipalities regarding permitting requirements and approvals.
• Track and report building permit, start, and construction-related activity.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic files for each home.
• Coordinate team meetings, events, and other scheduled activities.
• Process invoices and utility payments accurately and on time.
• Order and maintain office and operational supplies.
• Provide additional administrative support based on team and business needs.
