Job summary

Service Experts in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Residential Sales Consultant (RSC), an outside sales role combining consultative selling, customer education, and relationship management to diagnose comfort needs and offer HVAC and water heater solutions.

You will leverage internal warm leads and your own prospecting to close opportunities, collaborate with the technical team on site visits, and build lasting customer relationships while advancing energy-efficient home improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree or related professional sales certifications preferred.
• 2+ years of proven sales experience; direct-to-consumer selling preferred.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to educate customers and clearly present technical concepts.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Consultative selling: present tailored comfort options for HVAC and water heater systems.
• Customer experience champion: build lasting relationships with customers for satisfaction and retention.
• Sales generation: drive growth with internal leads and personal prospecting to close sales.
• Onsite collaboration: work with technical team during home site visits to tailor solutions.
• Industry expertise: stay updated on trends and energy-efficient technologies.
