Job summary

SUS in the Bronx is seeking a Superintendent for our residential building. The role ensures maintenance, safety, and smooth operation of all building systems, with a focus on resident satisfaction and compliance.

You will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with vendors, handle emergencies, and manage logs and turnovers to keep apartments move-in ready. On-site in the Bronx with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with building systems.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across building systems.
• Monitor boilers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for on-site work.
• Oversee cleaning, grounds and waste management.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call safety needs.
• Maintain logs, work orders and turnover readiness for move-in apartments.
