Job summary

SUS is seeking a Superintendent for a Bronx residential building. You will oversee maintenance, safety, and daily operations to ensure a clean, compliant, and safe environment for residents.

The role requires at least five years of building systems experience, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, with the ability to coordinate with vendors and manage on-site activities. This is an in-person position with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience with building functions including electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation systems.
• Experience performing routine maintenance and minor repairs in residential/commercial buildings.
• Ability to read and follow safety regulations and logs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across building systems.
• Monitor building systems and safety equipment for compliance and reporting.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for on-site work.
• Oversee cleaning, groundskeeping, and waste management in common areas.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local services as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with residents and staff and enforce building rules.
