Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver reliable, resident-focused transportation within the community. This role extends beyond driving to include scheduling, resident communication, and operational support.

Main responsibilities include transporting residents, managing requests in the transportation system, and maintaining vehicle readiness to ensure safe, timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a minimum of 3 years licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver's License (Class E) and clean MVR.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems.
• Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation services during scheduled hours, including medical transport on designated days (Tue & Thu).
• Safely operate community vehicles for medical, recreational, and personal transportation.
• Enter and manage transport requests in the digital transportation management system; ensure schedules align with guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle readiness through routine inspections; keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in good condition.
• Support Entertainment & Programming team with outings and events, including planning and safety adherence.
• Provide non-driving community support during off-vehicle hours, including programming and interdepartmental tasks.
