Canyon Vista Post Acute in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, collaborate with families, physicians, and rehab teams, and document services in medical records.

You will develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, communication, and cognitive function, while mentoring CFY students and coordinating with the care team. Strong licensure and CPR may be required.

Formación

• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state.
• Must maintain licensure in good standing.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and medical staff.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows (CFY) or students.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, and families regarding goals and discharge planning.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with policies.
• Provide in-services on training programs for facility staff as needed.
